To get the most out of your website you need to stand out and do things differently. Using off the shelf solutions may seem a good option at the time, it is often later in the websites life where your needs change that you realise you are stuck with something that does a lot of what you don't want and little of what you actually need.
All of our websites are built on platforms that are designed for the task in hand. This means many more of the features you need are there ready for you to use the way you intended, not forcing you into a habit of making do and getting by with a bloated CMS framework.
Below are some links to some of the sites we have worked on recently:
Mitchells & Butlers wanted a way to manage their images centrally without the extensive costs of building an administration panel to manage it. We suggested a Flickr account to manage their image collections along with a Flickr API powered gallery.
Harvester display all the nutrional information of their food on the menus. They also have "Nutrional Calculator" on their website which we developed that enables visitors to build their meal and work out the full nutrional information per person as well as the price!
A private project started over 3 years ago that has grown into a business with paying members and over 20,000 registered players.
On the same site mentioned above, our client requested functionality similar to their old site where visitors can view the share price history on the website. We used Google Charts API to generate the graphs along with Script.aculo.us and Prototype to animate various sections.
The Toby Carvery site is one of many pub brand websites we have been involved in building. Social sharing was a key aspect of this site and was the first M&B brand to be fully integrated with the social networks to great success.
A new O'Neill's was planned to open in Oxford with a different approach to the regular O'Neill's pubs. Social sharing again features heavily on this website.
